The McClung Museum houses more than 27,000 arts and culture objects from around the world with particular strengths in the areas of natural history prints and maps, ancient Roman artifacts, American and European decorative arts, Chinese art, travel photography, Native American art and material culture, and local history.

The main goals of the Arts & Culture Collections are to contribute in a deep and meaningful way to teaching and collaborative programming on our campus, to acquire objects that fill exhibition needs, to contribute to collaborative community programming taking place at our museum, and to exhibit and teach with collections representing our collections, and particularly the non-Euro-American world, as the only museum of world cultures in our region.
