- Ancient Egypt: Tuesday, August 28, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. This teacher workshop will focus on life in ancient Egypt through the study of art, artifacts, and writing as it relates to the museum’s permanent exhibition, Ancient Egypt: The Eternal Voice. - Archaeology and the Native Peoples of Tennessee: Thursday, October 4, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Teachers will learn about the science of archaeology to better understand Tennessee’s past. The workshop will include a detailed tour of the permanent exhibition, Archaeology and the Native Peoples of Tennessee, background information on Native American culture in Tennessee from the Paleolithic through the Mississippian periods, and a field trip to an archaeological site.
