Patchwork Quilt, 1880-1889, Elizabeth Clowney Clark, cotton, 82 in. long, John Duvall, 1972.11.1.

Patchwork quilt of red and white cotton, with “Drunkard’s Path” and “Melon Patch” motifs. A note pinned to the quilt reads “This quilt was made by Grandma Clark (Elizabeth Clowney Clark) (red & white quilt).” The quilt was probably a wedding gift for Mrs. Duvall’s grandmother in 1888.
