Children’s Magazine

“Something to Do: A Magazine for Boys and Girls Everywhere,” December 1915, Davis Press, paper, 9.5 inches long, Jefferson Chapman, 1987.5.6.

A color paperback magazine that features games, puzzles, coloring, and educational material for children. While the origins of Santa Claus can be traced back to Christian and pagan traditions, much of his mythos was not established until the publication of L. Frank Baum’s The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, a 1902 children’s book that further popularized the character.
