A trousseau dress of blue silk taffeta and satin, with a wide, open neck, nipped waist, and full puffed sleeves. This dress and a matching shawl were part of a “Second Day Dress” worn by the owner, Sallie Quicksall Anderson (1844-1921) the day after her wedding on August 2, 1864.
