Pueblo Pig Figurine

Pig Figurine, 1956-1966, Lela and Luther Gutierrez, clay, 1.75 inches high, Lewis Humason, 1989.21.42.

The unglazed standing pig is sand-colored, with its ears forward, and its tail curled. There is a circle, step, and line motif decoration in red, black, and green on the body. This figurine was probably made between 1956 and 1966, when Lela and Luther Gutierrez collaborated on pottery.
