        DESCRIPTION

The silverware in this exhibit illustrates some of the items used on the dining tables of the 19th century. There was something for every type of delicacy. In terms of modern feasting, the pieces represent a bygone time and type of elegant dining seldom found today. For many, the functions of these pieces are now a mystery.
