Geology & Fossil History of Tennessee

The exhibition features
geographic information about physical earth processes and the history of
life on earth with a particular focus on Tennessee. Earth events worldwide
are presented
in the Earth Bulletin, a computer-linked high resolution audiovisual program
from the American Museum of Natural History, New York, featuring earth science
news, such as volcanoes, earthquakes, and climatic events (updated weekly)
and current earth science research. Spectacular fossil specimens illustrate
the biological history of Tennessee as seen in detailed dioramas, including
the Gray fossil site. Dinosaur bones and eggs delight all, and a full-size
mosasaur ‘swims’ overhead.
