Date(s): Saturday, November 2
Time: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Join us for a free Family Activity Day celebrating our temporary exhibit, Pueblo to Pueblo: the Legacy of Southwest Indian Pottery, with pottery clay-related activities and tours at the museum.
The family activity day will include mini tours of the exhibit, which will focus especially on animals depicted on Pueblo pottery and their symbolism, for example, birds, deer, and frogs. Afterwards, children can sculpt pinch pot animals from clay, and decorate them by carving or adding beads and feathers. Other activities include a scavenger hunt through the gallery for adults and children, and putting together pottery “puzzles.”
All materials will be provided. The program is free and open to the public. Reservations are not necessary.
