Ancient Egypt: The Eternal Voice Exhibit

The people of ancient Egypt speak to us through their artifacts, writings, and works of art. Students will explore their beliefs, technology, and daily lives through examination and discussion of authentic ancient objects including the painted coffin of Anesenmes, Chantress of Amun; animal mummies; statues and other images of gods and goddesses; tomb furnishings such as shawabtis, and ordinary objects of ancient daily life.
Language and writing, the relationship between the environment and culture, and roles of individuals in government, the economy, and religious life are included in the program.
